Economy of Communion Impact Accreditation Program

Recognising businesses that put people, purpose, and communion at the centre of their mission and operations.

We Need a New Kind of Economy

We are living in a time of deep division.

Many people feel left behind, unheard, or pushed aside.

Trust in businesses is declining.

Even as technology and profits rise, inequality continues to grow.

We are stuck in a system that divides – but it doesn’t have to stay this way.

The Economy of Communion (EoC) offers a different path. It shows that businesses can succeed by putting people first, sharing profits, and building relationships rooted in care, fairness, and mutual respect.

About the Economy of Communion Impact Accreditation Program

The EoC Impact Accreditation is a programme that recognises organisations actively living out the values of the Economy of Communion – not just in words, but in their structure, operations, and relationships.

Developed by Consulus in partnership with EoC Asia Pacific, this program helps businesses:

  • Evaluate how well they apply EoC values in practice
  • Improve internal and external practices based on clear guidance
  • Gain public recognition as part of a global movement
  • Strengthen trust with customers, employees, and communities

The programme is based on the belief that business can help build a more just and humane society where “no one is in need.”

Who are the Economy of Communion Accredited Impact Enterprises?

Accredited EoC Impact Enterprises are businesses that have undergone a structured evaluation and demonstrated their commitment to the core values of the Economy of Communion.

These organisations:

  • Embed communion and inclusion into their strategy, governance, daily operations and practices
  • Share profits responsibly to support people and purpose
  • Contribute to building a more just and united economy in their communities

Their accreditation shows that they are not only aligned with EoC values but are actively putting them into practice in measurable, visible ways.

Who Can Apply

The EoC Impact Accreditation Program is open to:

Corporate members of EoC Asia Pacific

Members of EoC International

Recognised members of regional or national
EoC bodies

The 7 Measures We Evaluate

To ensure that the accreditation is practical and meaningful, every organisation is assessed based on seven clear areas, called the 7 Measures of the Economy of Communion for Impact. These measures are:

    1. Communion as Goal

Adopt communion as a fundamental value and what unique impact it seeks to have on the world, to determining what services or solutions it offers and how to offer them

    2. Capability for Communion

Empower the INTERNAL teams and resources to do things together, to learn from each other, to build on each other’s capabilities to make things together in the process of delivering the promise to various stakeholders and for further progress of the business itself.

    3. Communion Supply Chain

Make it possible for the EXTERNAL supply chain partners to do things together, to learn from each other, to build on each other’s capabilities delivering the promise they make to various stakeholders

    4. Co-Innovation

Adopt communion as a fundamental driver of innovation and co-innovation within the firm and in partnership with others

    5. Economy at Large

Create more added values to further progress the whole industry and the economy at large, through resource sharing and knowledge sharing

    6. Participant & Co-Governance

Co-governance and shared ownership principle, which guides how staff collaborate and communicate with each other to create value, how departments collaborate, how talents and leaders are developed and groomed, how the processes and SOPs are co-governed by staff at all levels for consistency and scalability.

    7. Building Strong Community

In a growth relationship with the local communities, who are directly and indirectly affected by their business decisions and actions every day.

The 7 Measures used in this programme are aligned with the founding values of the Economy of Communion, and draw inspiration from the 7 Guidelines to Running a Business – the original guidelines that help shape the identity of EoC enterprises around the world.
